Dear Friends,
Thank you for your action on
our recent e-mail! Because of your calls, pro-life taxpayers won the day in the
House of Representatives. Without your calls, letters and e-mails, pro-family
champions in the House would not have been able to stop the Democrat leadership
from providing yet another government-funded perk to Planned Parenthood which
they had tucked into a funding bill for our troops at war.
We couldn't have
accomplished this without the letters/phone calls you made to your
Representatives! Your voices truly make a difference.
In case you missed the
announcement yesterday in our Multimedia e-mail, the Democrat leadership in the
House finally gave in on the war supplemental funding for our troops. Initially,
not only did they refuse to fund our men and women fighting in Iraq and
Afghanistan, but they also used this emergency war funding bill as a means to
pass their liberal initiatives.
One of the more pernicious
provisions in this bill, which was removed in negotiations, would have allowed
certain Planned Parenthood clinics and university healthcare centers to get
drugs at nominal prices.
Pandering to political
allies like Planned Parenthood, Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and
her liberal cohorts wanted to make it cheaper and easier for Planned Parenthood
to distribute controversial drugs that could endanger women's health, including
Plan B which can act as an abortifacient.
Thanks to you we are able to
secure our country and not line Planned Parenthood's coffers!
Sincerely,

Wendy
Wright
President
