President Obama's "new plan" still forces Americans to pay for abortions. It imposes taxes on all Americans who fail to have "acceptable" health care coverage while raising health insurance premiums on Americans who already have health insurance.

If the policy is overturned, it would distract from the critical mission of the military simply to impose a sexual agenda onto society. Repealing the regulation excluding homosexuals from military service would harm recruitment, retention and the readiness of our troops

Congress continues to wheel and deal in secret meetings, behind closed doors, despite President Obama's very public promise that negotiations on a health care bill would be transparent and covered by C-SPAN. He said the meetings would be open for all to see which politicians made sweetheart deals.

Dawn Johnsen has a long history of putting abortion "rights" above all laws, including the Constitution. She actually argued in a brief to the Supreme Court that restrictions on abortion are tantamount to "involuntary servitude."

As patients, we depend - with our lives - on health providers to be moral and act in what they believe to be the best interest of their patients. But if moral professionals with strong consciences are forced out of the profession, patients will pay the price.

It is time the Senate took a stance to guarantee that the funds appropriated in the war supplemental are directed to our military to secure our country and not to line Planned Parenthood's coffers.

The Senate passed (52-42) Senator David Vitter's (R-Louisiana) amendment to the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, S. 1200, that would codify a longstanding provision and ban taxpayer funding of abortions at Indian health care service facilities.

We have an opportunity which comes along once every ten years to ensure tax dollars won't pay for abortions-on-demand in Indian Health Services.

If Title V is not reauthorized for more than a three-month period, it will, for all intents and purposes, kill abstinence education. In fact, since Congress has begun to reauthorize Title V in three-month increments, more states have refused abstinence education funds, which effectively means that only dangerous comprehensive sex education is being funded.
