Spending Revolt

·      In the first 500 days of Obama’s Administration, our national debt increased $2.2 trillion – which is a whopping $4.4 billion per day, or $112,000 per second.

·      All American families work within a budget.  When President Obama was campaigning for the presidency, he said, “Like any cash strapped family, we will work within a budget to invest in what we need and sacrifice what we don’t.  And, if [I] have to enforce with a veto, [I] will.”

·       For Fiscal Year 2011, Congress did not pass an actual budget.  It was “deemed” passed.

·      Obamanomics have not helped improve the American economy.  Since February 2009 when the stimulus was signed into law, millions of Americans have lost jobs, unemployment has climbed to 9.5 percent, and long-term unemployment has reached historic highs.

·      The policies of the Obama Administration are expected to result in an annual deficit this year of $1.5 trillion (which is $12,664 per household) and push the public debt to 90 percent of the economy by 2020.

·      As a candidate, President Obama promised that families making less than $250,000 would not see their taxes increase.  Yet, his administration is about to implement jobs-killing tax hikes on American families and small businesses.  In just six months, President Obama will penalize married couples by reinstating the marriage penalty tax, he will hurt American families by halving the child tax credit, and make adoption less viable for many Americans.  And the kicker, employers will now have to report health insurance costs as income on their employees’ W-2 forms.

·      The 2010 edition of “Federal Spending by the Numbers” shows spending and deficits continuing to grow at a pace not seen since World War II. Washington will spend $30,543 per household in 2010—$5,000 per household more than just two years ago.

·      Under President Obama’s budget, Washington is projected to spend $3,618 billion, raise $2,118 billion, and run a $1,500 billion deficit in 2010.
