Dear Friends,

We have heard that Senator Reid has between 54-57 votes for his bill to create a government take-over of health care. Once he is able to strong arm enough Democrats to get 60 votes, he will bring his health care bill up for a vote.

It's up to us to convince senators that Reid's health care bill is a disaster! It will raise costs, cut health care and pay for abortions.

The real cost of Reid's bill could reach $2.5 trillion. It will create over 100 new bureaucracies, boards, commissions, and programs. Democrats want to pay for it on the backs of children, seniors, and the most vulnerable.

Younger Americans, under 30-years old, can expect their health insurance premiums to double and even triple.

It will cut $135 billion from hospitals serving seniors, $15 billion from nursing homes and nearly $8 billion from hospices, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

The government will mandate what your insurance must cover. That includes abortion if this bill passes without the Stupak/Pitts language. Pro-abortion Senators argue that the Hyde Amendment prevents the government from funding abortion. This is simply not true. The Hyde Amendment will not apply to a new government take-over of health care.

It's Time to Act Before It's Too Late!!!!

An amendment to prohibit government funding of abortion will be voted on soon. Please call your Senators now at 202-224-3121 and ask them to support the Nelson/Hatch amendment. If this amendment fails, urge your Senators to filibuster Reid's health care bill.

Join Senator Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) and thousands of Americans at a 1:30 p.m. rally on Tuesday, December 15 at the Upper Senate Park in Washington, D.C. The High Noon for Health Care Coalition is providing bus service from many communities in the region. Visit their Website today to reserve your seat!

If you cannot attend the rally, please visit or call your Senators. Send them a message now that Reid's bill is not good medicine. Please click here to get your Senators' contact information.

Sincerely,

Wendy Wright

President
