Kevin Jennings: Disturbing Background, Disturbing Agenda

If President Obama’s nominee list were a reality show, it would be called, “Scandals with the Stars.”  The latest contestant causing waves is one Kevin Jennings (not to be confused with Ken Jennings, the Jeopardy champion).  Mr. Jennings, President Obama’s nominee for the position of Assistant Deputy Secretary for Safe and Drug Free Schools, has been defended by the administration as being fully qualified for the position to which he has been appointed.  As an open-minded individual, I have to wonder aloud at those qualifications.

1)     Kevin Jennings is a “loud and proud” homosexual who founded the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) in 1990.  GLSEN claims that its goal is to end “bullying” in schools, but its actions demonstrate a desire to promote the indoctrination of children in the homosexual agenda, and a hardcore indoctrination, at that.  GLSEN caused quite the row several years ago for instructing young students in the violent and dangerous homosexual act of “fisting.”  GLSEN also teaches and encourages students to explore their sexuality and sexual identity, mainly through recommended books for high school juniors and seniors.  In other words, by teaching students from a young age that the homosexual lifestyle is perfectly natural, they will develop into adults who are desensitized to the harmful, immoral reality of sexual deviance.

2)    Upon hearing the confession of a fifteen-year old student who was engaging in homosexual acts with an adult male in some bus stop restrooms, Jennings replied, “I hope you knew to use a condom.”  To be fair, Jennings did apologize — twenty-one years later and under duress.  David Brody of CBN quoted him as saying:

“Twenty-one years later I can see how I should have handled this situation differently.  I should have asked for more information and consulted legal or medical authorities. Teachers back then had little training or guidance about this kind of thing.  All teachers should have a basic level of preparedness.  I would like to see the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools play a bigger role in helping to prepare teachers.”

So, teachers didn’t have common sense twenty-one years ago?  That explains a lot about our teachers in public schools.

3)    According to Lori Roman of Regular Folks United, Kevin Jennings has praised Harry Hay, a quintessential homosexual activist and supporter of the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), as an activist who has inspired him.  (NAMBLA promotes pedophilia by claiming that the love between a man and a boy is “Enjoyable, consensual, beautiful” and that it has “many benefits for both man and boy.”)

4)    Jennings is also infamous for his statement of “F--k ‘em’” in regards to the religious right, and he also wrote the forward to the disturbing book Queering Elementary Education.

Jennings’ influential role in America’s public school system (his nomination did not require a Senate confirmation) encourages the undermining of the traditional family unit and promotes the homosexual agenda.  A large part of the homosexual agenda is geared towards redefining marriage, but as Christians who believe in the validity of God’s Word understand, marriage cannot be redefined.  The definition is one of America’s cornerstones.  Education is the key to the back door of society’s laws and morals.  If education becomes perverted then so does society, its laws, and its morals.

Jennings’ twenty-one years too late apology is not enough.  There is no reason to be confident that having him in charge would maintain safety in our schools, protect our children in the classroom, and get drugs out of public schools.  Instead, there are major reasons to be concerned about his agenda to teach children that dangerous and harmful sexual practices are “normal.”

Kevin Jennings needs to be a man and hand in his resignation.
