The Mexico City Policy’s Value Abroad

First instituted by President Ronald Reagan, the Mexico City policy bans U.S. foreign aid to non-governmental organizations that provide or promote abortions. That policy was overturned by President Bill Clinton then reinstated by President Bush. As the fight to keep this policy in place gets underway in Washington, many may be asking what the impact of that policy is. Dr. Joseph Ofisi is a physician from Kenya, who is now studying in the United States.
