Liberals in Congress are stealthily letting Title V abstinence education funding expire.  Please call Senators Max Baucus (D-Montana) and Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) at 202-224-3121 and Representatives John Dingell (D-Michigan) and Joe Barton (R-Texas) at 202-225-3121 right now and urge them to reauthorize Title V before the June 30 deadline!

According to a recent Zogby poll, 78% of American parents prefer schools to promote abstinence over contraceptive use.  Yet Congress plans to eliminate funding for abstinence education by simply not reauthorizing it when it considers the Transitional Medical Assistance (TMA) bill.  Historically, TMA and Abstinence Education Funding are considered together and this is a blatant disregard of parents' wishes for their children!

"Comprehensive sex education" and "abstinence plus" programs teach our kids that while it's a good idea for them to wait until marriage, it is not required or expected.  Instead our kids are taught how to use condoms.  These programs clearly send the wrong message to our kids! 

Call Senators Baucus and Grassley (202-224-3121) and Representatives Dingell and Barton (202-225-3121) today and tell them we expect better for our children!  Urge them to consider Abstinence Education Funding with the TMA bill as is customary.
