CWA gives kudos to Representative Phil Gingrey (R-Georgia), a former obstetrician/gynecologist, on a bill that he plans to introduce. Congressman Gingrey's bill will prohibit federal funds from being used to implement a mandatory vaccine program for the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted disease and a cause of cervical cancer. CWA urges you to call your Members of Congress (202-224-3121) and ask them not only to cosponsor this bill but to take whatever action they can to pass it. CWA also encourages you to call Congressman Gingrey (202-225-2931) to thank him for recognizing that parents ultimately should determine whether their children receive a vaccine for a sexually transmitted disease. Watch our Web site for updates with more information. Sincerely, The Legislative Department P.S. As always, we thank you for also considering CWA for your strategic financial support. With you, we're fighting on key issues like "gay marriage," abstinence, pornography and abortion. We need you. If you can help us today, please go to http://www.cwfa.org/support_cwa.asp and enter your most generous donation.
